FAMILY READING NIGHT 2022

We held our annual Family Reading Night on Thursday - November 3rd in the Leadore School multi-purpose room. Our theme was Idaho Wild Wonders. We had several stations for the kids to participate in which featured different activities about our great state of Idaho! The Fish & Game came from Salmon and talked to the kids about different animals of Idaho. They had a display of skulls, antlers and hides that the kids could see and touch. We also borrowed some items from the Sacajawea Center that the kids could look at and touch. There was a table that had plastic scat(poop) from different animals that the kids could try to identify. The kids could also dig for a little plastic horse to give them an idea of what it's like to dig for fossils and they could dig in dirt to find a gem from Idaho. For refreshments, the kids could decorate a state of Idaho cookie and the kids learned about different rivers and cities in the state of Idaho. They had little stars to mark the cities and a string of licorice to mark the rivers. The kids could also play games. When the kids got done visiting each station, they could go to the fish pond and get a prize which included a state of Idaho sticker that they could put on a notebook or water bottle. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun!! We appreciate everyone who came and especially appreciate the Fish and Game coming to help us out!!
